Is it for health reasons, since forming relationships helps to combat loneliness? Just like with anything else, when you understand why you’re doing it, you will be better motivated and establish an attainable plan to accomplish it.
Set goals
Once you know your why then it’s time to establish some goals. For instance, set a target of making three new connections a day on LinkedIn or learn to perform the Five-Minute Favor. One of the most important tasks you can do is to make networking a daily habit, even setting aside 30 minutes each day to accomplish your objectives makes a difference. Then you must make a commitment to do it – and hold yourself accountable.

When you know the value you can provide to your connections, you turn the relationship into a mutual benefit.
