The fact that you want to think about networking daily is a great sign. The best networkers, think about doing so daily.
Networking should not be viewed as a goal, but rather as a mindset.
When your approach is to think Daily it will eventually just become a habit. “Success doesn’t’ come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently.”
This is more of a holistic way of thinking and approaching your life that will serve you and your business better.
You need to play the long game, and realize that networking is a long game.
“People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures.” ~F.M. Alexander
Some of the habits of focus would be on providing value to others. The more value you can provide and the more you can give, ironically the more you will receive. Think about the people and businesses you want to collaborate with, and think about ways you can provide help to them. Offer that help to them without an expectation of a return. Even if you don’t expect a return, it’s likely you’ll be top of mind down the line if there is an opportunity for you.
As an example of how important relationships are and how it could relate to your business, author Tom Corley, who wrote the book Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, says that 79% of rich people devote about five hours of their time each month to networking with others. This is active time strictly devoted to networking. They are probably doing a lot of the other little habits that we addressed earlier. But this stresses the importance that they cut out time specifically for this activity.
Remember, The act of giving is the gift.
